NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Nearly 300 guests joined Sun River Health, one of the largest federally qualified health center (FQHC) networks in the country, for their 17th Annual Cornucopia Benefit on Thursday, November 4th at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan. The event raised over $450,000 to support the comprehensive primary and preventive health care services that Sun River Health provides to more than 245,000 people in need throughout the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island. This was the first in-person fundraising gala held by Sun River Health since 2019.
This year’s benefit had a special focus on Sun River Health’s partnership with several local organizations to ensure that patients have access to healthy food, and an expansion of these programs to better serve the community.
“We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Cornucopia Benefit, and to be able to celebrate in-person this year,” said Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, Sun River Health CEO. “The funds we raised will bring much-needed primary and preventive health care services to underserved populations in our communities and ensure that even more communities have access to our high-quality care.”
In honor of their support of the Sun River Health mission, special awards were presented to Michael J. Taubin, Partner at Nixon Peabody LLP, and the Crist Family of Crist Brothers Orchards in Walden, New York.
