PEEKSKILL, NEW YORK –Sun River Health will present Because of Juneteenth, a free, celebratory show featuring music and spoken word, at Peekskill’s Paramount Hudson Valley Theater on Friday, June 16 at 7pm. The show will highlight the City of Peekskill’s historic connection to the Underground Railroad and Civil Rights and call to mind themes of unity and the strong connection between health care access and liberation.
Performers include Acute Inflections, the Juneteenth Celebration Choir led by Ernest Billups of Emazin’ Entertainment, Lenny Underwood and his band, and No Money Down. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm.
Admission to Because of Juneteenth is free, and seating is on a first come, first served basis.
