Sun River Health Mask Packages For Patients

On Saturday, May 15th volunteers gathered in the Founders room of Sun River Health’s Jeannette J. Phillips Health Center and assembled thousands of mask packages to be distributed to patients throughout our network of 43 health centers. While we have come so far in providing testing, care and more than 125,000 vaccines to New Yorkers in the last year, with the delta variant surfacing, we want to ensure the safety of our communities by providing these convenient packages to help everyone stay safe in situations where social distancing is not possible.

Thank You! You helped to make this happen!

Through Sun River Health Foundation funds, all 43 health centers received new TV’s for patient waiting rooms. These screens help keep patients engaged while they wait for their appointment at our health centers and enable us to easily and broadly share valuable health information, appointment reminders, key Sun River Health initiatives, contact information and important updates throughout our network. We could not have done this without the support of our communities. In addition to the screens themselves, this initiative allowed us to implement network-wide software that provides for comprehensive overall Sun River Health information as well as detailed site-specific updates.

New Equipment for Kraus Family Health Center in Southampton

This summer, more than 80 guests joined Sun River Health at Southampton Social Club to kick off summer in style just before Memorial Day Weekend – the event was a wonderful success and raised more than $45,000 in support of Sun River Health’s Southampton Health Center. Joy Pak, Health Center Director, has shared that the money was used to purchase equipment to expand services and better accommodate the needs of nearly 6,000 patients in Southampton. New equipment included: Dopplers, for use in detecting fetal heart rate as well as vascular problems in medical patients, Derma scopes to prepare for a skin cancer screening program, non-stress test machines for prenatal screenings, and spot vision screeners – enhancing eye screening methods from standard charts currently used.
