Sophia Hunter, LCSW received her Master’ Degree (LMSW) in Social Work at Fordham University School of Social Work, New York, NY in May 1994.

Sophia has worked at The Jewish Board, Coney Island Counseling Center, Brooklyn, NY, an Article 31 Outpatient Counseling Center, since November 2017 providing counseling service to chronically mentally ill families and children. She has been with Canino Psychotherapy, PC, Brooklyn, NY since June 2020 as well. From February 2019 through February 2020, she was employed as a Psychotherapist at New York City Children’s Center, Brooklyn, NY. This was a part-time position serving children up to the age of 21 with mental health disorders in an outpatient setting.

From September 2016 through January 2017 Sophia worked at Advanced Math & Science II Charter High School, Bronx, NY in a temporary position providing mental health counseling to special education high school students who were mandated to counseling as per their individual educational plan.

Ms. Hunter is licensed to practice as an LCSW in the State of New York since May 19, 2006.
