Support for agricultural workers
The Alamo Community Center in Goshen is co-located with the Sun River Health Alamo health center in Goshen and is targeted to the unique needs of agricultural workers and their families in our region.
Specialized services
The Alamo Community Center has much to offer
Our services include a food pantry, clothing donations, and a community room to relax, watch TV, or socialize.
Sun River Health’s outreach staff regularly visit agricultural worker housing to present Salud Para Todos, a drug and alcohol abuse awareness program. Representatives from the New York State Department of Labor are also available to assist agricultural workers with fair employment matters.
Weekly programs include:
- English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Homework assistance
- Exercise classes
- Teen pregnancy/ motherhood support group
- Y.O.L.O. (Young Outstanding Latina Organization) for teen girls
- Boy’s Council

No clothing or household items can be accepted as donations.
