Celebrating the rebranding of Hudson River Health Care and Brightpoint Health as Sun River Health, over $260,000 was raised to provide critical health care access to New Yorkers in need.
On Saturday, November 7, Sun River Health, formerly Hudson River Health Care and Brightpoint Health, celebrated Cornucopia 2020 – the first gala under their new brand launched in September. With hundreds of guests in attendance from the comfort of their own homes, the virtual event raised over $260,000 to support the vital health care and social support services that Sun River Health provides to over 245,000 patients across the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island.
In addition to supporting general programs and initiatives, guests contributed towards four important initiatives Sun River Health is undertaking to make health care accessible to all: Telemedicine, Mobile Health Centers, Outreach Programs, and COVID-19 Pop-Up Testing Sites. Allowing for extended service hours and bringing high-quality care directly to those who need it most in a safe and secure manner, these initiatives ensure that Sun River Health patients continue to have access to the health care and services they need and deserve during these uncertain times.
Guests received a package of sustainably sourced foods from local farms provided by Great Performances, and wine provided by Paumanok Vineyards. The evening’s festivities also included a special cooking demonstration by Food Network Chopped Champion Dinah Surh, with the food packages including select ingredients for attendees to recreate the dish at home.
