On Friday, June 16th nearly 200 community members joined us for a joyful evening at Sun River Health’s Because of Juneteenth” event at The Paramount Hudson Valley Theater. Guests enjoyed music from Acute Inflections, The Juneteenth Celebration Choir – led by Ernest Billups, Lenny Underwood & Friends, and No Money Down. The evening’s program, emceed by Liz Phillips, Sun River Health Vice President of Community Engagement and Nalini Purvis, Sun River Health Chief of Community Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, included education about Juneteenth as well as inspiring words from Sun River Health Board Vice Chair, Norma Johnson, and LaFern Joseph, Owner of The Fern Tree and co- founder of Sisters in Support.
