Sun River Health, in partnership with Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, hosted a successful back-pack stuffing event this August, providing essential school supplies to over 600 local students in need.
Spearheaded by Sun River Health Ambassador Ebony Livingston, this event brought together dedicated volunteers from Blackstone to assemble backpacks filled with notebooks, pencils, hand sanitizers, and other vital school and health care items. All backpacks were distributed to the communities we serve in the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island during our National Health Center Week regional celebrations.
Nalini Purvis, Vice President of Community Engagement at Sun River Health, emphasized the importance of such collaborative partnerships in building stronger and healthier communities. “This event is a testament to the power of working together to address the needs of our community,” said Purvis. The donated backpacks will equip students with the tools they need to succeed in the upcoming school year. Sun River
Health extends its sincere gratitude to Blackstone for their generous support, and to the volunteers who dedicated their time to this worthwhile cause.
