Sun River Health welcomed more than 100 guests on Thursday, September 22nd at Dear Irving on Hudson in New York City for our Ambassadors Networking Event benefitting our Women’s Health program. The event brought together philanthropic minded professionals to enjoy specialty cocktails, take in the rooftop view, and learn more about the vital work that Sun River Health does to provide everyone with the care they need and the respect they deserve. The event raised more than $15,000 for the Women’s Health program at Sun River Health, which welcomes 3,500 new babies and serves more than 20,000 family planning patients annually.
Guests heard from Barbara Tamberlane, Founding Partner and COO at WhiteCap Search and WCS Healthcare Partners about the importance of giving back and her personal journey to doing so. Sun River Health CEO Anne Nolon highlighted the interconnectedness of healthcare, and Tom Kennedy, Board Member at Sun River Health, and his son Tom Kennedy, a founding Sun River Health Ambassador, spoke about their roles as advocates for Sun River Health and the patients we serve. Finally, Dr. Quratulain Zeeshan, Quality Medical Director of Women’s Health spoke about the breadth of services provided to support mothers throughout their journey, and the importance of making new mothers feel respected in their care. Sun River Health is the largest provider of OB services and births of all the FQHCs in New York State.
