The Wallkill Valley Health Coalition (WVHC) recently donated $18,000 to support Sun River Health’s Wallkill Valley Health Center in Walden, New York. The coalition founded the health center in 1995 to provide primary health services to the Wallkill Valley community. Through an endowed fund, held by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties, they continue to provide a source of annual funding to support health care services, health care pipeline initiatives, and programs and services for the health center to care for the greater community.
The funding from the Wallkill Valley Health Coalition will be used by Sun River Health to increase access to health care and to develop additional programs focusing on individuals with diabetes and other chronic conditions. This will include implementing a multipronged strategy to achieve the triple aim of Awareness, Access, and Action in the Walden Community.
